Brad Pohlman’s responsibilities include head of staff, preaching, teaching, leading worship and coordinating weddings. He has been on staff at Luther Memorial since 2007. Brad and his wife Joy, a UW librarian, have two adult daughters, the youngest at St. Olaf College.
David Berggren works in all areas of the congregation’s life, particularly pastoral care. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary and received his D.Min. from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. Prior to his official retirement in 2014, he served churches in Red Wing, Minn.; Burlington, Platteville, and Sun Prairie.
Eric Jones works in all areas of the congregations life, particularly teaching. He previously served as interim campus pastor at the Lutheran Campus Center and as pastor of Orfordville Lutheran Church in Orfordville, Wisc.
Nancy Raabe serves in the areas of senior ministry, visitation, women’s ministry and does some teaching in the congregation. She has been on staff since 2014. She earned master’s degrees in theological studies and sacred theology from Trinity Lutheran Seminary.
Suelyn works collectively with staff and laity to promote the mission of Luther Memorial, with emphasis on strategic planning, stewardship, communication and membership development. She has a background in graphic design and communication management and an MA in philanthropy and development.
Bruce Bengtson’s primary responsibilities include the duties of organist, choir director and instrumental programs of the parish. Director of music is a position he has held since 1978.
Ann McDermott directs the training choir for children kindergarten through second grade, a position she has held since 2010. She is also a music specialist at the Preschool of the Arts and owner of the Ann McDermott Piano Studio. She was educated at the UW-Madison.
