Andrew Schaeffer
A Chicago native, Andrew Schaeffer serves as the director of music and organist at Luther Memorial Church in downtown Madison. He holds degrees in organ and church music from St. Olaf College, Yale University and the University of Oklahoma. His doctoral research focused on the role of the pipe organ in American Freemasonry during the first half of the twentieth century. In addition, he has recently authored a book chapter on communal Masonic singing that will be included in the Oxford Handbook of Community Singing, due to be published by Oxford University Press in May 2024.
In addition to his position at Luther Memorial, Schaeffer serves as the editor-at-large of The Diapason, one of the oldest and largest American journals devoted to organ, harpsichord and church music, and he has served as the instructor of organ at Ripon College in Ripon, Wis. Active in the Organ Historical Society, he has twice performed at national conventions, and will serve as the co-chair of the 2025 national convention, which will be held in Milwaukee and Madison.

T. Jared Stellmacher
T. Jared Stellmacher, native of Ripon, Wis., is director of worship and music at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Madison/Verona, Wis., where he leads and oversees a diverse multi-campus music ministry. Jared is also organist with the Chicago Gargoyle Brass and Organ Ensemble and is adjunct instructor of organ at Ripon College.
Previous positions include director of music at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Watertown, Wis.; director of music at Redeemer Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Hinsdale, Ill.; interim director of music at First Church Congregational in Fairfield, Conn.; assistant organist at the historic Riverside Church in New York City; associate organist at the First Presbyterian Church in New Canaan, Conn.; and assistant choral/vocal administrator at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.
Jared has received many awards for his performance excellence, most notably first place in the American Guild of Organists Region VI Competition for Young Organists held at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs; he then performed as a “Rising Star” at the National AGO Convention in Chicago. Jared received his MM from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and Yale School of Music and BMus from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music.
