Principal Trumpet at the Baltimore Symphony and Founder of the Future Symphony Institute Andrew Balio and organist Bruce Bengtson will perform at Luther Memorial on Saturday, June 20 at 7 pm.

Balio has served as the principal trumpet of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra since 2001. He is
the founder of the Future Symphony Institute, an independent, nonpartisan, and nonprofit think
tank dedicated to classical music. The mission of the Future Symphony Institute is to form a
strategy for the renaissance of live classical music and to create freely available programs for
everyone.

Bengtson, who recently retired after 40 years of service as director of music at Luther Memorial, plays concerts and accompaniments all around the world, including Mexico, Canada, and Europe. He is active in the Organ Historical Society, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, and the American Guild of Organists.
