Sowerby, Peeters, Vierne

I hope you have been enjoying our weekly devotional series: “Hymns of Hope.” With the fall season upon us, we will be transitioning back to weekly Wednesday recitals. While in years past, these recitals took the form of a 30-minute organ program, this fall we will offer 15-minute musical reflections that will be available each Wednesday morning in your e-mail inbox. While organ meditations will comprise a majority of these reflections, this will also give us the opportunity to feature various musical talents from within the congregation and community. We pray that this brief opportunity to pause wherever you are and enjoy sublime music recorded in our space, will bring you peace during these difficult days.

This week, tune in to hear “Comes Autumn Time” by Leo Sowerby, Flor Peeters’ haunting “Aria,” and the Finale from Louis Vierne’s first organ symphony.
