Holy Communion Sundays at 8:15 & 10:30 am
All women are welcome to a discussion on Christian approaches to political resistance. Below are two links to short articles (paper copies will be on the welcome desk). In addition, during the meeting we may also watch a short documentary.
With faith under fire today, Dr. James Spencer shares the recipe for Christian resistance by Laura Green of Fox News. While this article is a few years old, it is an accurate portrayal of how more conservative Christians views society, oppression and ways of resistance.
Are Christians Called to Resistance? by Alicia Johnston of Patheos. This is a more progressive approach to Christianity and resistance.
Women’s Group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the church library.
New participants are always welcome! No need to RSVP. You can park underground or in Grand Central and find us in the library on the lower level of the church. Please enter the church through the LM garage.
