Baptism

Baptized into Christ we are formed as God’s people in life, in death, and in eternity. Lutherans baptize people: anyone and everyone—from tiniest infant to elderly adult—may be a candidate for Holy Baptism by water and the Word.  Baptism is a public rite of the church and, although we baptize a person once in this life, we encourage all Christians to touch water and make the sign of the cross given in Baptism as a daily reminder and proclamation of our life in Christ.  Those seeking baptism should speak with a pastor.  Baptisms may be reserved for the Vigil of Easter Eve, or scheduled for most any public worship service.
