Rites of the church

The church orders its life by means of liturgical ritual.  The baptismal font near the church’s entry declares what we believe: we enter Christ through Baptism.  As such, membership is rooted in Holy Baptism. The Rite of Marriage declares the living marriage of Christ the Bridegroom to the Church, his bride.  Normally, the Funeral Rite begins at the Baptismal font and concludes with the triune baptismal Name of God (Father, Son +, and Holy Spirit).  Baptized into Christ we are formed as God’s people in life, in death and in eternity.
