There are many ways to make connections at Luther Memorial. Here a just a few. See the Weekly announcements for more information and opportunities.
The Family Group is a monthly social gathering for families with children of all ages. At 4:15 pm parents engage in discussion while children play in the staffed nursery or participate in training choir or children’s choir. At 5 pm all join for a potluck. Each month one family hosts by providing an entrée. Others are invited to bring an appetizer, side, dessert, or beverages to share.
All men are welcome! Men’s Group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm for an evening of conversation and refreshments. Topics and speakers vary. Often the group will select a reading.
The Women’s Group is a monthly gathering for women of all ages to learn together and to get to know each other in a climate that is welcoming and open. Two sessions (morning and evening) are offered each month; the same topic will be presented at both sessions. Light refreshments and transportation as needed will be provided.
Luther Memorial senior members and friends gather quarterly at Oakwood Village University Woods for worship, learning and fellowship.
Breadbreakers is an easy way to get acquainted with others at Luther Memorial. Each Breadbreaker group of 6 – 10 people shares a monthly meal for three consecutive months, after which the small groups are shuffled and the fun starts again. Families, singles and couples of all ages are welcome! To learn more or to sign up, contact Kirsten & Mike Heggeseth (firstname.lastname@example.org or 616-0772) or stop by the welcome desk.
