Adult Education Forum
The Luther Memorial Adult Education forum takes place at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday in the Luther Memorial Great Room.
Resuming January 6, 2008, there will be two sometimes-concurrent series:
- Track 1: A variety of topics:
- January 13, meet in the Great Room and walk (rides will be provided for those who need it) the half block to the Interfaith Hospitality Network headquarters at 1121 University Avenue.
- January 20, Bishop Bruce Burnside of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America South-Central Synod of Wisconsin will address issues facing the
church on a synodical and local level.
- January 27, Sandra Breisath, director of the Luther Memorial Preschool, will tell about the preschool, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
- February 3, Pastor Brad Pohlman and Sue Bangert, president of the congregation, will offer their insights on the coming year
at Luther Memorial and answer
questions in preparation for the
annual meeting and the direction
of the church in coming years.
- February 10, Director of Music Bruce Bengtson
will lead an exploration of the
Psalms in the liturgy of the church.
- February 17 through March 9, the Rev. David Susan will guide us
through the Psalms we sing during Lent.
- Track 2: January 6 and 20 and February 10, Pastor Craig Jan-McMahon will lead a discussion of ideas and issues related to
Luther Memorial’s theological conference, "Crossing Authority."
