Cantate Sunday, May 6 

A celebration of music at Luther Memorial featured all vocal choirs, the bell choir and cantate musicians.

Nursery care available
Children ages 0–4 years are welcome in our supervised nursery 10 a.m.–noon on Sundays near the church office off the narthex.

The Road Home: May 13–20
Luther Memorial will host homeless families through The Road Home of Dane County May 13–20.

Care packages will be given to LM students in the narthex today. Thanks to all who donated!

Ascension Holy Communion: May 17
The Ascension of our Lord will be celebrated in liturgy this Thursday at 7 p.m.

Office hours change May 21
Beginning May 21, the church office will be open Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Office staff will not be available to answer phones or open the tunnel entrance after office hours. Please call the office if you have questions about building access at 258-3160.

Summer choir: Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
The first summer choir rehearsal is Sunday, May 27 (Day of Pentecost) at 9:30 a.m. The choir is open to all members, friends and visitors. No audition is required, and you are welcome to participate as your summer schedule permits. Contact Bruce Bengtson at 258-3160 ext. 22 to learn more.

Linde Sundell at Adult Forum: May 27
Linde Sundell will share stories and photos from her Global Medical Brigades trip to Honduras last January.

Senior Day at Oakwood Village West
Celebrate spring with friends and family at Oakwood Village West on Monday, June 4, 10 a.m.–1 p.m., with worship in the Resurrection Chapel, followed by lunch ($8.50) and a program in the Nakoma/Westmoreland rooms. Construction on St. Francis property
Beginning this week, the east end of Conklin Place alley near Brooks Street will be closed throughout the duration of the project. Avoid construction by parking at Grainger (2). If you park in the LCC garage (1), please exit to Johnson Street via the Grand Central Apartment exit. Stop by the welcome desk with questions.

Sunday School teachers needed
Interested in teaching Sunday School? We are in need of two teachers to teach every other Sunday for the 2012–13 school year.  Contact Sunday School coordinator Amy Grunewald Mattison or Pastor Brad to get involved.

Lay School of Ministry introductory course this fall
“Faithful Leadership in Lay Ministry”
This four-session introductory course helps lay leaders develop a theological focus on the challenges faced in ministry. These sessions look at ways to nurture Christian community as it applies to youth, education and volunteer ministries, including the integration of social media.
